WHAT TO EXPECT
Welcome to Upward! Thanks for checking us out. Upward is a non-denominational Christian Church. We are a community filled with real people that are focused on fulfilling the great commission by digging into discipleship and what that looks like in our everyday lives.
As you approach our building on N Keene Way Dr, parking will be available across with clearly marked signs for Upward parking. Find a spot and come on in. Someone will be there to greet you and show you around. We have snacks and coffee available every Sunday morning.
In total, an Upward Church service is about 60 minutes in length. Services begin with the Upward Church worship team leading the church in music. Song lyrics are displayed on screen so you can sing along and/or engage with worship, however you feel comfortable.
Each and every Sunday, we offer the opportunity to take communion together as a church family during worship.
During the worship service, our pastor will come and share an encouraging message about Jesus. The messages taught will always be read directly from scripture every week. Our point of view is that where the Bible speaks, we will speak and where the Bible is silent, we will be silent. Our goal is to be faithful to God's scriptures.
WHAT TO EXPECT FOR MY KIDS
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week. At Upward Kids we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that all of our volunteers go through a background check and kids safety classes. The first time that you visit you want to leave yourself an extra 10 minutes to get signed in for the Upward Kids experience. Upward Kids is offered on Sunday services for kids ages infant through grade 5.
